I met Kevin on a planning committee for the Dallas Austin Foundation.
Our meeting was at the restaurant Ten Degrees in Buckhead, so afterward a group of us stayed to socialize.
Kevin is a very recognizable man.
At seven feet tall he towers over anyone else in the room, and, in addition to playing for the Hawks for nearly ten years, he also has the distinction of playing one of the longest careers in the NBA.
But he’s a private guy and doesn’t go out much.
So we weren’t surprised when he decided to leave early.
But not ten minutes later, he was back at the table with a funny grin on his face.
“Hey Kevin,” I asked “you lock your keys in the car?”
“No,” he answered “Lamb chops. I saw some on the way out and had to order some. To go.”
Guess it’s true, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
